We have finished our discussion of Constellations in class....below you will find a complete set of our notes along with all the diagrams that you will be responsible for knowing on next week's tests.
As we have discussed....we will be splitting the tests into 2 days....below are lists of what constellations will be tested on which days:
Tomorrow night is the peak of the Annual Leonid Meteor shower....it's a great way to earn some bonus!
All you have to do is go outside, look up and observe, and tell me what you see! Here's how this will work: 1. What time should you go outside? Go outside between 3:00am and 5:00am on Friday morning...this is probably the best time to see the meteors with the interference from the moonlight. 2. What to watch for? Stay outside for at least 15 minutes watching the sky....look to the southeast and high in the sky. When you see meteors look for if they are a certain color and if you see any large ones let me know if they make any sounds! 3. Tell me what you see/hear! Send me a message in any of the following ways: a. Remind b. Email me ([email protected]) c. Text to my email ([email protected]) d. Call and leave a voicemail (216-642-5860 x1221) Your message to me should include the following: a. Who you are (I'm not going to recognize your "sleepytime" voices...and I may not know your email address if it isn't your name! :-) ) b. What you saw....tell me the colors of the meteors, if they made any noises and how many you saw) **even if it's cloudy...call and tell me that .... you don't control the weather so you will still get your points....but be careful....don't call in and lie about what you see because it's not that hard for me to catch you! :-) c. Tell me what time it is If you do all of this...you will receive 5 bonus points!!! Good luck and Happy Meteor Hunting!!! Today we began our Constellation Project! Attached below is the outline for the requirements and the grade sheet so that you can see how it will be graded:
